Even after the events in the previous game, the Haxiom Brood are still active and hunting Cal down in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. After meeting Caij, Cal can track these different bounty hunters down, eliminate them to get their pucks and trade them back to Caij for different rewards.
Vaslyn Martz is a shield-using bounty hunter who will attempt to ambush Cal while exploring the area she is rumored to be in. Vaslyn also fights with two other weaker bounty hunters, leaving Cal outnumbered per usual.
Where To Find Vaslyn Martz
Vaslyn Martz is found on Koboh, with the nearest meditation point being the Fogged Expanse Starting from there, start making your way further into the region, heading through the small cave full of round animals that expand to stab you with their spikes. These enemies are weak and can mostly be avoided as you run past them. Exiting the cave and continuing forward will lead you to a small clearing shrouded in fog. Luckily the usual beast that inhabits this area is not there, but you will be ambushed by the three bounty hunters upon entering.
How To Defeat Vaslyn Martz
Despite having a shield, Vaslyn will rarely use it for defense, making reflected bullets or shots from your blaster usually hit the boss. The other two bounty hunter will properly utilize their shield and will require you to wear down their stamina bar to be able to actually hurt them. The three bounty hunters will fire consistent shots at you, and parrying their shots back at them is very effective at wearing down Vaslyn. These bounty hunters also love throwing flash-bang style grenades, temporarily blinding you even if you try force-pushing them back at the bounty hunters. Immediately utilize your slow time force power to freeze everyone while you try to focus down a single bounty hunter first. Walking behind them and hitting their back will guarantee you get around their stamina bar.
Focus on taking down the weaker bounty hunters first, using powerful lightsaber attacks to wear down their stamina. After clearing the small fry out, direct your attention to Vaslyn. Vaslyn will usually use her shield for charge attacks and rarely for blocking, making ranged attacks very effective. If you get close, Vaslyn does have access to a few force-like attacks that can knock you back. While these attacks may reposition you, she has nothing to follow up the attack, making it more of an annoyance than an actual attack. Should you be affected by Vaslyn's flash grenades, simply block for a short time while listening for the power attack cue, and dodge accordingly to outlast the flash.
