While exploring the Untamed Downs in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you can open the chests in the area pretty early on, since they are on Koboh, but be aware that you will need to have completed “Climb Mountains to Observatory” before you have the Electro Dart Ability for BD-1.
This ability will be needed if you wish to get all six chests. You will find two jackets, one for the Mountaineer Outfit and one for the Hunter outfit. These can be used to customize your outfit in the game. Along with these jackets are a new lightsaber grip and the Santari Khri lightsaber. Lastly are some new audio sensors and legs to customize BD-1.
Chest 1: Hunter Outfit Jacket
From the Mantis, you’ll need to head north until you come to what looks like an old farm. To the left of this will be a broken bridge. Remember the location of this bridge, as you will be coming back here later.
Go over this bridge and then turn right as you make your way to the wall at the end of the path. Go forward and up the trail. After going under the first archway, you will come to the chest sitting at the edge of the ledge. It won’t open.
Turn the camera to the right, and you will spy an orange pipeline. Use a BD-1 Electro Dart on the container at the end of the orange pipe to activate the chest, allowing you to open it up. Inside this chest will be a jacket for the Hunter Outfit.
Chest 2: Swooper Legs (BD-1)
After getting the Hunter Jacket, turn the camera to look left, and you should see a circular metal door in the corner of the area. Head down the trail to the right of this door, and watch the wall on your left until you see two brown bars.
If you find yourself running downhill, turn around and run back up while watching the wall on your right.
Between these brown bars is another point that you can use your Electro Darts on; this will open the circular door. Head straight inside to find a chest. This chest has some new legs for BD-1. These leg components are of the Swooper theme.
Chest 3: Santari Khri Lightsaber
Head on over to the Meditation Point. This point is right next to a space between two walls. Go through this space and head down the path, paying attention to the right side. You will see a large dark gray structure carved into the cliffside; head over to this structure. You will see a green barrier inside.
If you go to the left wall, there will be a trigger that will deploy a droid. Don’t destroy it. This droid will lock in on you and start following you. Lead it outside the structure, following along the wall to the right of you. Keep leading it all the way around until you see a steep slope. Go left to the cave, next to this slope.
Dispatch the enemies in the cave as you pass them and lead the droid deeper and deeper into the cave until you will see a wall that looks different from all the others.
Use the force to pick up this droid and throw it into the wall to destroy it. Head into this room and open the chest inside of it. Your reward will be the Santari Khri lightsaber.
Chest 4: Arakyd Heavy Lightsaber Grip
Head back outside and head on over to the point indicated on the holomap, it’s not far. At this point, you will see the chest sitting out in the open. Connecting to the back of this chest is an orange pipe.
Look along it until you find the chamber you can shoot with an electro dart to activate the chest and open it. Inside this chest will be a new lightsaber grip component: the Arakyd Heavy.
Chest 5: Mountaineer Jacket
Grab a mount and head in the opposite direction of the gray structure until you get to a large body of water. Hook a left, and you will see some caves. As you get to these caves, head to the right side. Jump with your mount and then dismount for a long enough jump to grab onto the ledge above.
Here, you meet Garra. Use the old Jedi mind trick to convince him to get off the chest, and you can grab the Mountaineer Jacket from inside it.
Chest 6: Geonosian Audio Sensors (BD-1)
Head back to the broken bridge from when you made the trek to get the Hunter Jacket. Last time you went right; this time, go left. Along the path you will pass by some collective pools of water. At the end of these pools is a single tree with a cave right above it. Go up and into this cave. Keep to the left, and you will see a ledge you can jump up to.
After a short run, you will see some vines you can hang onto, allowing you to climb forward. Climb all the way to the end, and you will see another climbable surface. You will need to jump forward to get to them. Head to the very top of this wall and go straight. As you make the turn, you will see an exit to the cave and an enemy at that exit.
The wall on the left side allows you to wall run on it. Use this wall and then jump at the very end to make it to the other side. Dispatch the enemy before you and leave this cave. Turn to the right as you leave and follow along the wall, and you will come to another wall run.
Use this wall run to make it to the ledge on the far side and go straight. You will see the chest at the end of this platform. Inside of it is some Audio Sensors for BD-1. These are of the Geonosian theme.
Some of the trickier chests may have you wishing you had all of BD-1's map upgrades.
