The first thing you'll need to do before securing your Black Ops 7 pre-order is decide which edition you want. There are two bits of very good news if you're happy enough with the standard edition. Best of all, this isn't going to be Xbox's first $80 game. The standard edition of Black Ops 7 will indeed cost $70. Activision will also continue to release CoDs on last-gen consoles, and the standard edition on PlayStation and Xbox will also be a cross-gen edition.
If you want more from Black Ops 7, then there's the Vault Edition. For $99.99, your copy of Black Ops 7 will include the Operator Collection, a Permanent Unlock Token, and everything else in the table above that doesn't come with the standard edition. You will be getting the pre-order bonuses regardless of which edition you choose, which includes early access to the Black Ops 7 open beta starting on October 2, 2025.
The beta will be open to everyone, whether you have pre-ordered or not, from October 5.

Upgrading To Black Ops 7's Vault Edition On Xbox Game Pass
Black Ops 7 will be the second Call of Duty game to launch day one on Game Pass. While that might mean you don't need to place a pre-order, only the standard edition will be added to Game Pass. You don't have to miss out on the Vault Edition's extras if you plan on playing the next CoD on Game Pass, but you will have to pay for them.
As was the case with Black Ops 6, Xbox is giving Game Pass subscribers the option to upgrade to Black Ops 7's Vault Edition, even if you haven't bought the base game. Pre-orders for the $30 Vault Edition Upgrade, the price difference between the two editions, are available now. You can also buy the upgrade if you have pre-ordered the standard edition and decide you want the Vault Edition extras at a later date.
