Marvel Snap's October 2025 season adds new Horde mechanic

Marvel has spent decades exploring other corners of the multiverse beyond its primary continuity. One of its most popular tales has been Marvel Zombies, originally written by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. With an official Marvel Zombies mini-series recently premiering on Disney+, Marvel Snap has picked this as a great opportunity to explore this undead universe. The October 2025 season will not only explore zombified Marvel heroes, but it will also introduce a new mechanic to Second Dinner's digital card game.

Marvel Snap's Undead Horde season introduces a new Horde keyword. This introduces a Zombie Horde card onto the board, which can be powered up by other Zombie heroes. Zombie hero effects can also power each other up when played. Who better to power up the Zombie Horde than the new Zombie Scarlet Witch (3/2) season pass card? Playing a card at the Zombie Scarlet Witch's location will grant a Horde +2 buff.

There are several other cards that players can expect to see in this zombie-themed season. They include:

• (1) Headpool (1) (Super Premium Pass) - When this is destroyed, return it to your hand, then give all cards in your hand +1 Power.
• (3) Colonel America (3) - Ongoing: Your other cards here have +1 Power for each turn you've discarded a card.
• (2) Zombie Mister Fantastic (2) - On Reveal: Horde +2. Activate: Give 4 of your created cards +1 Power.
• (4) Zombie Captain Marvel - Activate: Destroy your other cards here to get +3 Power for each. Move to a location you're losing.
• (7) Zombie Galacti (4) - Start of Game: Choose 6 other cards in your deck. On Reveal: Transform those cards into copies of this.

On top of that, four new Series 4 cards are being added to the latest Snap Packs. They are:

• (5) Zombie Giant-Man (3) - On Reveal: Horde +1, then this gains Power equal to your Zombie Horde.
• (2) Zombie Power Man (4) - End of Turn: If you're winning here, discard the leftmost card in your hand.
• (3) Zombie Sentry (4) - On Reveal: Horde +1 for each of your cards at the right location.
• (?) The Hunger - On Reveal: Horde +3.

Two new locations will also be added to the Marvel Snap rotation. The Deadlands offers Horde +1 at the end of every turn. Meanwhile, Survivor's Camp will draw a card for whoever's winning after Turn 4 and give Horde +2 to whoever's losing.

The Sanctum Showdown and Grand Arena modes will return in October to offer players a chance to pick up additional rewards. Plus, players can look forward to a special Wolverine variant to celebrate Marvel Snap's 3rd anniversary. The undead action is set to kick off when Marvel Snap's October 2025 season starts on Tuesday, October 7.
