After its full release, Ready Or Not now features much more reliable gunplay with weapons that are much closer to their real-life performance, thanks to all the balance changes that have been applied to them over a year of feedback and tweaks. Aside from that, there are also a number of new Assault Rifles, SMGs, and Shotguns available with version 1.0.
With an active modding community and a promised line-up of content from the developers, Ready or Not aims to grow even more in the future. Meanwhile, more players are attempting to prove their skills by getting high ratings for available missions. However, it would be pretty tough to get the best rating for each mission without a perfect loadout.

10 MP5/10mm
Most Effective SMG

There is little difference between MP5/10mm and its other variants in Ready or Not, but what makes the 10mm version a better gun is its added accuracy. Overall, MP5/10mm feels more comfortable than the A3/A2 variants, thanks to its reduced recoil, which increases accuracy.
However, there is also one more difference: The 10mm version is the deadliest SMG in Ready Or Not, and it's probably one of the few guns in this category that has survived Void Interactive's heavy nerf on submachine guns. Although it's not as effective as assault rifles, especially against enemies wearing armor, it's still a good choice for close-quarter combat.
9 ARN-180
Best Aim Trainer

- Recoil is manageable with the right equipment
ARN-180 has been around in Ready Or Not since the Early Access era. This assault rifle might be a bit hard to control, but it has a good fire rate and acceptable performance against mid and long-range targets. Of course, there are better weapons in the game than ARN-180, but it's a good starting point.
We suggest you equip the gun with a Muzzle Brake and a Vertical Grip to make the recoil much more controllable. ARN-180 is not always the best option for close-quarter combat, especially in missions like Sinuous Trail or Ends of the Earth, but it feels quite satisfying!
8 SR 16
The Most Precise Assault Rifle

Looking for something super effective for your primary slot? SR 16 is an excellent choice for sharpshooters in Ready or Not. If you have complete trust in your aim and don't mind a lower fire rate, then you can proceed with every mission using this accurate assault rifle.
Regarding vertical recoil, SR 16 might not be the most comfortable weapon in the game, even with a vertical grip. Still, if you learn to kill your enemies with burst fire rather than spraying bullets, there shouldn't be an issue with higher recoil. This gun is perfect for long-range battles in missions such as Greased Palms.
7 MK 16
Best Starter Assault Rifle For Recoil Control

If SR-16's high recoil doesn't suit your playstyle quite well, then you can give MK-16 a shot. This assault rifle is not as deadly as the SR-16. However, it comes with a recoil that is much easier to control, especially with a Muzzle Brake and Vertical Grip.
The fire rate of MK-16 is almost equal to that of SR-16, which still requires you to shoot your bullets with confidence in aiming, as you won't get more chances of misfiring in front of a suspect with an SMG. That being said, the MK-16 is by far the best weapon in Ready Or Not to train your aiming with assault rifles.
6 870 CQB
The Deadliest Shotgun

Looking for some fun while taking down the suspects? This is where the 870 CQB shotgun comes in handy. There are multiple shotguns available in Ready or Not, but none are as effective and deadly as this beauty.
Although the 870 CQB has a longer slug-action time compared to other in-game shotguns, if you aim correctly, a single shot would be enough to send any suspect directly to hell. Of course, this is a short-range weapon, and you do need a solid pistol as your secondary in case you run out of ammo, which could be a Five-Seven if you care about accuracy.
5 SLR47
Best Assault Rifle For Veterans

- Lack of Vertical Grip
While named SLR47 in Ready Or Not, this weapon is indeed one of the AK-47 family members that comes with deadly rounds. That being said, similar to real life, it has an insane vertical recoil that is quite difficult to control, especially when you know that you cannot attach a Vertical Grip to it.
However, even with its high recoil, it's still unfair not to put SLR47 on this list. The weapon's great shot power and increased fire rate make it the perfect choice for short and mid-range combat. It also has a big enough magazine to help you stay longer in fights.
4 M1014
Best Shotgun For Dense Areas

While M1014 is not as deadly as the 870CQB among shotguns in Ready Or Not, the weapon is still a solid choice for short and even mid-range battles. The fact that M1014 requires a much shorter time for its slug-action makes it a better choice for missions with a high density of suspects.
In missions like Sinuous Trail, Relapse, 23 Megabytes A Second, or even Sins of the Father, M1014 will come in handy. We do suggest you attach a sight on top of this shotgun as the ironsight for M1014 is not as comfortable as that of 870CQB.
3 MCX
Best Assault Rifle For Mid-Range Fight

MCX is one of the new Ready Or Not weapons that was added with the 1.0 update, and it's indeed a solid newcomer to the assault rifle category. MCX gives you all you can expect from a deadly rifle. From a high fire rate to an acceptable recoil pattern, MCX is a weapon for veterans.
While this is the base platform for LVAR, another new assault rifle in the game, MCX is much more trustworthy when it comes to effectiveness in battles of any range. A Vertical Grip is suggested for newcomers, but if you already have good aiming, Angled Grip would be a better choice.
2 G36C
Most Balanced Assault Rifle

G36C is the most comfortable assault rifle in the game that comes with great effectiveness, even against armored suspects. Although G36C might stand behind MCX when it comes to effectiveness, it has a higher fire rate, and yet it is easier to control with a Vertical Grip.
G36C has been a solid assault rifle in Ready Or Not since the Early Access era, and it remains one of the best weapons in the game after the 1.0 update, as the weapon is quite suitable for killing suspects at almost any range. After MK-16 and ARN-180, this is the best weapon to train your hands for perfect aiming in Ready Or Not.
1 F90

If all you need from your weapon is confirmed kills, then there is nothing better than an F90. This weapon is by far the deadliest assault rifle in the game, with great effectiveness over armor. F90 is the best and most powerful weapon that was added through the 1.0 update to Ready Or Not.
This massive effectiveness, however, does come at the cost of a lower fire rate. So, you have to be precise with your shots. The recoil of the F90 is not as bad as the SLR47 or SR-16, but you still need some experience to control it perfectly, especially in long-range battles. Once you get the hang of it, you will turn into a killing machine!
