Modiphius Entertainment launched in 2013 with Achtung! Cthulhu, a tabletop role-playing game where players battle Nazis and Lovecraftian horrors during World War II. The publisher went on to use its 2d20 game system for licensed TTRPG adaptations of Fallout, Dune, and Discworld. Now it’s combining the two pillars of its core business by developing a TTRPG based on MachineGames’ Wolfenstein series.

The Wolfenstein TTRPG will begin crowdfunding in fall 2026. Set in an alternate history where the Nazis won World War II and have conquered most of the world, the game will be drawing from 2014’s Wolfenstein: The New Order and the 2017 sequel Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus. Players will take on the role of resistance fighters using advanced weaponry and equipment to fight back against their oppressors. It seems like an easy fit for the system’s focus on cinematic battles.

Empowering stories about killing Nazis remain popular and MachineGames studio director Jerk Gustafsson says he hopes to release a third game to wrap up BJ Blazkowiscz's story. Amazon MGM Studios and Bethesda Softworks are building on the success of the Prime Video Fallout series by developing a Wolfenstein show for the streaming service.
