That isn’t a particularly novel take, and Ubisoft itself seems to think so too in some regards based on the way it’s been experimenting with the series’ formula.                                                                                                                                     <p>Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said last week that <a href="https://www.thegamer.com/assassins-creed-remakes-are-coming-ubisoft-ceo-confirms-yves-guillemot-interview/" target="_blank">Assassin's Creed fans can expect remakes of older games in the series in the coming years</a>. At first, that didn't strike me as an especially exciting prospect. Ubisoft's approach to game design hasn't changed all that much since <a href="https://www.thegamer.com/tag/assassins-creed/" target="_blank">Assassin's Creed 2</a> came out in 2009. That game was still fun when I played through it in 2018, and I doubt I would feel any different now.
