How to unlock the Necromancer in Mewgenics
Don't fear the dead.
The four starting classes in Mewgenics are certainly fun, but for more tactical depth and power, you will want to unlock the hidden ones, and one particular class is really generating a lot of interest among players. The Necromancer is a powerful option for your team composition, and this is how to get it.
How to unlock the Necromancer in Mewgenics
To unlock the Necromancer, you will need to finish the Boneyard section and then speak with Butch, who will give you the Necromancer collar that you can use to turn any of your cats into a Necromancer. This will also grant that cat a +2 Constitution, +1 Charisma, but a -2 Strength, impacting their ability to do melee attacks.
The Boneyard is the second area in the third chapter of Act 1, and comes after the Junkyard, which you can get to by unlocking the hard path in the Alley. To unlock the hard path on Alley, you will need to finish both Alley and the area that follows it, Sewers, in a single run.
Necromancer is a complex class, however, and there are pros and cons to using it. So far, a leech tank seems like the best way to run it, and the ability that spawns zombie kittens seems a bit hard to manage, as those zombie kittens will also attack your own downed cats.
