Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone gets starting retail price of $2,899 USD
The newest foldable smartphone from Samsung is set to launch at the end of this week.
In early December 2025, Samsung unveiled its next big thing in foldable smartphone technology: the Galaxy Z TriFold. That phone is finally set to launch this week, and Samsung dropped an eye-watering $2,899 USD starting price to go along with it ahead of the launch.
Samsung shared key details about the pricing and pre-orders for the Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone in a press release on its website. On January 30, 2026, the TriFold will launch, bringing a triple-paneled option to the Samsung Galaxy smartphone line. Pre-orders are open now, with a 512GB black model starting at the above retail price just under $2,900. Other features include a new and customized Snapdragon 8 elite mobile platform chip, a 200 MP camera, Samsung’s largest battery in a foldable smartphone yet, and Galaxy AI features packed into an ultra-thin design that is 3.9 mm at the thinnest point.
Despite the sweltering price, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold has looked like an exciting innovation in Samsung foldable technology. It’s not the first trifold smartphone, but it is the first to be offered in Samsung’s Galaxy smartphone line, providing sleek and accessible operation in Samsung’s popular foldable ecosystem.
