Wall calendars aren't really in fashion anymore, but last year's indie hit Balatro is still one of the most engaging games you'll ever play. While we've not really heard a lot from developer LocalThunk recently, you'll be able to show your love for the game and its mascot Jimbo throughout all of next year.
Megabonk Reminds Me Exactly Why I Love Balatro So Much
If Balatro was your first roguelike love, Megabonk is your second.
Balatro has revealed a 2026 wall calendar with 13 photos of Jimbo. It gets even better! Each version of the joker will be played by none other that everybody's favourite video game actor, Ben Starr! So whether you simply liked the game, can't keep track of appointments, have a crush on Ben Starr, or just have a thing for jokers, this calendar is for you. You can buy it on the Fangamer website for $19.
Balatro 2026 Calendar Announced With Ben Starr As Jimbo
Besides 13 pictures of Ben Starr as Jimbo, the Balatro 2026 Wall Calendar also gives you a condensed 2027 calendar on the last page. LocalThunk and Playstack will donate all proceeds towards the Extra Life and SpecialEffect charities. It's 12 inches wide and 19.25 inches tall when opened, perfect for any wall.
The calendar may eventually go out of date, but who doesn't want Ben Starr in a joker outfit permanently on their wall?
Jimbo was one of the most recognisable faces in the gaming industry last year as everyone and their grandmother couldn't stop playing Balatro. The game eventually got a few crossovers which featured specially themed jokers, but Jimbo was always everyone's favorite. Ben Starr showed his love for the game by dressing up as the joker multiple times, and now for charity as well.
I Tried Balatro And Now I’m Obsessed With Its Anonymous Creator
Turns out you don’t need a face to be the face of indie gaming.
Despite the game coming out last year, LocalThunk still hasn't been able to publish Balatro's 1.1 update, which will now probably come out next year. In a statement, the dev said that their process takes time, especially when it comes to drawing the jokers. Besides, Balatro was always launched more as a hobby, rather than a full-time job, so it's understandable that they don't want to burn out.
