About Jay Ku

Jay (He/They) is a fiction writer and high school teacher. He has a Bachelor's degree majoring in English and a Master's in Creative Writing. When he's not writing, he's either gaming (on the Destiny 2 grind), reading Brandon Sanderson books, or learning how to write a game.

Jay is a huge fan of action-packed games with compelling narratives and deep lore. Most importantly, he loves games that have fun and engaging mechanics.

First Game Console and Preferred Platforms

Jay's first game console was the GameBoy Color. He's countless hours playing Pokemon Emerald and grew his ever-expanding collection of GameBoy cartridges from there. 

Now, he mainly plays on PC and PlayStation, but occasionally plays on the Switch. 

Industry Focus

Jay is a Writer at DualShockers. He has a Master's degree in Creative Writing, graduated from a Game Writing course by Adrian Ropp, and has been gaming since he was 5 years old. He knows what makes a good game and what a great narrative should contain. While he writes about a myriad of games, his main focus is on Destiny 2, or any other game he may be hyperfixating on.
