No Man's Sky Remnant Update patch notes introduce gravity guns & waste disposal

Published , by TJ Denzer

It’s 2026, and sure as anything, Hello Games and director Sean Murray are still putting new content into No Man’s Sky. This year’s first major expansion is a trash update, in the literal sense. We’re cleaning up industrial waste on a new type of world with a collection of new equipment that includes a gravity gun (the Gravitino Coil) and a large customizable hauling truck (the Colossus).

No Man's Sky Update patch notes

Hello Games launched No Man’s Sky Update 6.2, AKA the Remnant update, alongside its accompanying patch notes this week. The meat and potatoes of this update is the new trash disposal system. There are planets that have industrial waste scattered about them from irresponsible corporations. These “scrap world” planets have new Waste Processing Plant facilities. You’ll drive out to scrap fields in the customizable and upgradeable Colossus truck and then use the Gravitino Coil attachment to effortlessly hoist waste into your truck. You can also launch things you grab with the Gravitino Coil. Just be careful. There’s volatile waste and if you fling it recklessly, you could eat a fiery or acidic explosion.
